Youth Stand Up for PEACE, DEMOCRACY and JUSTICE on April 29th!
CALLING ALL YOUTH
On Saturday, April 29th, 2006 we will gather in New York City with people from all over the country to demand Peace, Justice and Democracy for our generation and for all the world's people! Join us in showing the White House and Congress that youth and students will not stand by and watch them destroy the hopes and dreams of our generation!

CALLING ALL YOUTH
Our financial aid is cut...
Our schools are under funded...
Our generation is criminalized...
Our teachers and professors are attacked and intimidated...
Our friends are harassed and lied to by Military
Recruiters...
And now it's our turn to speak up and say NO MORE!

The End the war in Iraq -- Bring all our troops home now!

NEW YORK CITY
We are going to Unite for change -- let's turn our country
around!
The times are urgent and we must act.
Too much is too wrong in this country. We have a foreign
policy that is foreign to our core values, and domestic
policies wreaking havoc at home. It's time for a change.
-No more never-ending oil wars!
-Protect our civil liberties & immigrant rights. End illegal
spying, government corruption and the subversion of our
democracy.
-Rebuild our communities, starting with the Gulf Coast. Stop
corporate subsidies and tax cuts for the wealthy while
ignoring our basic needs.
-Act quickly to address the climate crisis and the
accelerating destruction of our environment.
-Our message to the White House and to Congress is clear:
Either stand with us or stand aside!
We are coming together to march, to vote, to speak out and
to turn our country around! As youth it is not only about
right now, but about our future!

Here are 5 ways you can get involved:
1.) You should come to NYC on April 29th and bring your
friends!
2.) You can Spread the Word!
Tell your friends and download flyers and other materials to
distribute on your campus and in your community.
3.) Get Creative and Loud!
Make your own banners, signs, puppets, and flags with your
own slogans and school names. Write chants and songs to get
the crowd pumped and excited! Bring drums, whistles and
noisemakers to make sure they hear you!
4.) You can Endorse the April 29th March!
Have your campus organizations and leaders head endorse the
March at http://www.april29.org
5.) You should Visit the Books Not Bombs Youth and Student
Tent! The March will also include a Youth and Student tent
where you can meet other young people, find out about
organizations and campaigns that are fighting back and arm
yourself with more information to take back to your schools
and communities!
6.) Let us know if you want to Volunteer to help out!
