The Current Peace Movement

I'd like to thank Dynamic Magazine for covering so thoroughly the Bush Administration's drive to war and empire, and the peace movement's struggle to curtail it. As the Bush Administration scrounges for weapons of mass destruction, the peace movement must work fast to build a united front to oust the fake president. Having admitted they moved to war on questionable intelligence information, the Bush Administration now moves to solidify their right-wing religious base by pushing radically conservative legislation through Congress and making last-ditch attempts to appoint federal circuit judges in addition to pressuring certain supreme court justices to retire.  But the peace movement has been exposing the lie of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction since Bush first mentioned action against Iraq, and we were confident Bush was offering up a fictional front in order to begin a pre-emptive war.

The National Youth and Student Peace Coalition (NYSPC) has started working on its part to develop an electoral strategy to organize its newly increased base of youth and student peace activists into peace voting blocs, and the YCL has played a pivotal role in this.  I urge the YCL to build locally around these national strategies for the upcoming elections. And together, we should unite strategically around one sole mission: the Beat Bush in 2004.

Sincerely,
Erica Smiley

Culture

As a regular reader, I wanted to thank you for putting out a great issue each time around.

I consider this magazine a great tool for activists and working class youth everywhere to have a better understanding of what's going on around us. I specifically enjoy the cultural section in your magazine. I can relate to the poetry coming from everyday working class youth, struggling in this system of oppression created by the ultra right. I think your magazine encourages people everywhere to join in the fight to put an end to the Bush administration.

In the future, I would like to see some political cartoons in the magazine. Again, thank you for all the hard work you put into each issue and never give up the fight.

In Peace and Struggle,
