The Silent Giants, Argonath of Greed,
Stand holding back the flow of comfort Wealth,
A stagnant dam collecting, drowning Need
In Mid-Town Wall-Street picture-post-card Health.
The world observes and notes the waters’ rise,
The consequential ignorance of Guilt.
Unlooked for comes revenge from stolen skies
And strikes the feet of clay on which they’re built.
But Peace, released despite her enemies,
A living spring bursts forth to clean
The stench of Capital’s indemnities,
To resurrect a Spirit long unseen.
The holy liquid flows, unleashed throughout
The city streets dust-covered in their drought.
