Hunger

Top level Dynamic Magazine Back Issues 2004 - March

Hunger…
I’m hungry for letting that tongue
Weave paths down my
Spine
I’m hungry for a
Movement of angry youth marching through
The streets demanding the best
I’m hungry for letting our bodies unfold and
Wrap around this universe
As deeply and smoothly as
We possibly can
Still finding more to discover
‘bout each other
I’m hungry for Si Se Puede
Evolving into Podemos
I’m hungry for your
Fingertip to lightly trace over
My tattoos
Teasing out
A blend of sweat and fruit juices
I’m hungry for the rhythm
Of the applause to override
The backfiring of cars damaged
From our pothole ridden streets
I’m hungry for those soft lips
And strong arms
To take this strong mind
And strong heart
To a place that’s tender
I’m hungry for the booming
Of the, “Hell no we won’t go’s to
Hush the bang bangs of the duce duces
I’m hungry for our gaze
To meet our heartbeat
I’m hungry to re-experience
That leg quiverin’
I’m hungry for the clamoring
Of thousands of boots
Out-stepping the clang clangs
Of our slave chains
And when we’re through
I’ll be hungry
For taking that love
And making that love
A thousand times over.
