Midwestern Americans are waking up and fighting back against reactionary cutbacks and corporate elitism. From Indiana to Wisconsin to Ohio and nearly everywhere in between workers and students are taking democracy to the people and making their voices heard, Now, young people from all over the region are preparing for the next stop on the Young Communist League, USA's Red School-Bus Tour in Chicago Illinois!
Young students and workers are flocking to the land of Lincoln for the Midwest Marxist School for Young Activists at 3339 s,Halstead St. the May 20th-22nd and the YCL will be there.
Young people need the tools to fight the right-wing capitalist assault on the average American worker and the YCL are going to arm these youths with an arsenal of ideas and strategies that they can take back to the struggles in their states.
The last school in Chicago was a big success with participation from local activist groups and leaders and this year promises to be even bigger and better. We will be discussing capitalism, the current political moment, how to combat racism and xenophobia, and how to grow as an activist.
The last two Red School-Bus stops in Los Angeles and New Haven Connecticut were great and the activities including, music, poetry, and the atmosphere were a lot of fun.
We are going to try to top them both this time and we have a lot of great stuff lined up already.
