Dear Readers,

There's a growing urgency among our working class community to stop the war in Iraq. The war on Iraq is projected to cost $9 billion a month. This translates into budget cuts in our schools, jobs and social services. We have to stop this war before it starts.

In the mean time, war at home is still raging. Our civil liberties are still in grave danger. The prison industrial complex is shifting its focus, and immigrants appear to be the new cash crop (see xxxx). That's why it's so important that we build for the National Convention.

The Young Communist League 7th National Convention is upon us and we're organizing for it with full steam. With the war drive and the down turn of the economy, the YCL have a very specific role to play in the coming months. There will be a lot of decisions made at the YCL National Convention that are going to affect our campaigns in the future.

This is the third issue of Dynamic in its new format, and with it, the third and final installment of YCL history. That section of Dynamic will now be dedicated to articles about the history of past movements.

In the next issue you should look for a report on the convention and plans for us to make a difference and make our voices heard.

In Solidarity,
